The Quietline ™ Noise Reduction System is more
effective than conventional filters, because it reduces
noise at its source. Quietline ™ is a very effective
shunt filter. It sits across the power line, rather than
in series with it, cleaning up noise and interference
without affecting the flow of power to your
electronics.

There are several sources of electrical noise in nearly
every building. The power line itself is inherently
noisy and can act as an excellent antenna for
atmospheric electrical noise. Defective utility
equipment and loose or corroded connections can
also create noise.

Radio-frequency interference or RFI (usually radio or
TV signals), can have grossly audible effects (such as
a buzz from a TV station or hearing CB calls), or more
subtle effects (such as veiling, grain and flattening of
perspective.)

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) is the "hash"
radiated by your computer as well as the pops from
your refrigerator's compressor. This noise can enter
your electronics through the power line, speaker
cables or even along the shield on interconnects.

It isn't enough to reduce EMI and RFI where they
enter. You must suppress the noise at the source.
